My husband and I watched the movie BEAUTY AND THE BEAST a day or two after its release. I often felt like I was viewing a beautiful painting. Emma Watson embodied a lovely Belle and all the other parts were perfectly cast. It was so nice to see a film about love– romantic love, familial love, lost love, unrequieted love, love of community, all kinds of love. My heart was opened up and that is always a good thing.

I'm gay, married, Pagan, and Progressive-minded from California, raised by hippie intellectuals. I relocated to Massachusetts for graduate school and never moved back to the Left Coast.
